SNIPPETS - FORGET-ME-KNOT

A little play on words there.  This crocheted shoulder wrap is actually called "Forget-Me-Not" and it is another pattern from Tiny Owl Knits.  I made this as an addition to Frannie's Halloween costume - Elsa from Frozen.  I used Loops & Threads "Snuggly Wuggly" yarn.  I do not recommend this yarn.  Can you say P-I-L-L?!!  It is economical, which makes it suitable for craft projects, but I do not suggest using it for anything you seriously want to wear.  Heck, it pills while you are working with it.

There's Ollie (a Coton de Tulear) snoozing on the chair,
wearing a sweater I made for him.

As for the patten, I L-O-V-E it!  So much so that I want to make another one.  I can hear Debbie Bliss "Angel" in pale pink calling my name.  The ruffles were a dream to crochet.  The only modifications I made to this pattern were that I made it longer (more rows of ruffles) and instead of a tie closure, I made a loop and added some bling, after all, it was Halloween.

SNIPPETS - ANOTHER HAT

Hello Cupcake
Another free pattern courtesy of Repeat Crafter Me.  Hat is sized for a newborn (0-3 months old), but I think it fits pretty well on an American Girl doll.  Vanna's Choice yarn.

No one ties their hat anymore, do they?

SNIPPETS - MORE AG

Sparkly hot pink sweater for American Girl.  Free pattern courtesy of Little Kina via Ravelry.  I used Vanna's Glamour and size 5 needles.  Knit in one piece, top down.  No seaming (yeah!).  Next time I would go down a size on the needles.

Next up is a crocheted ripple afghan which is displayed on Molly's American Girl doll bed (now retired).  I think this is a mix of Red Heart Super Saver and Vanna's Choice yarns.

SNIPPETS - LITTLE PINK TREE

Stocking
Pattern courtesy of Yvestown.

Christmas Tree Skirt
Pattern by Cherry Heart.

A second tree skirt from the same pattern because if you are fortunate enough to find a little pink tree, you're going to need a pretty skirt to go under it.

SNIPPETS OF A YEAR GONE BY

For American Girl Dolls
Basic instructions on how to make a poncho are available at Le monde de Sucrette.  Pom Pom border instructions are from Once Upon A Pink Moon (I love making these!).  The crochet cherries pattern can be found at Maize Hutton.

South Bay Shawlette is a Lion Brand pattern.  I made this one in leftover sock yarn (category 1) and a very small crochet hook.  I stopped crocheting when the shawl wrapped around the doll properly and added my own picot border.

I KNOW, I KNOW, LONG TIME NO POST

Let's see if I can get back in the saddle again.  To start with, I am posting the following videos purely for my own enjoyment.  Last night was the All City Strings Concert, 4th year Frannie has been selected to play.  Frannie is sitting next to the young man with the short Mohawk.  She is the one with the light brown hair and excellent bravado (couldn't get a good view of her face).  Remember, these students are about 13 years old, and, in terms of recording, I haven't a clue what I'm doing.
